It is known to all that calorie is the fuel for our body. It gives the needed amount of energy to our body. Our body needs calories to keep it going. Even when you are sitting idle or simply sleeping, your body is consuming energy. It does so in operating significant body functions viz. pumping blood, breathing in and out, churning and digesting food and a lot of other operations.
Our body burns almost 60% of the total calories on meeting its energy needs of everyday performing all basic life-sustaining functions. The remaining 40% is consumed on your functions like doing all physical work. Now there is one thing very important here that the total consumption of energy in your body depends also on the kind of body built you have. Take a fat person sitting on a bench with a strong six pack ripped-abed guy, who is consuming more calorie? Of course the guy who has strong muscles. The reason is very clear that a muscular person needs more energy to meet its body needs.

In my previous post on ‘How to get ripped abs?’, we discussed things about eating the right kind of diet. We also discussed what we should not include in our diet while on a bodybuilding routine. In the present post, I am going to discuss about a few exercises that are immensely helpful in getting ripped abs.

Make note that you are not spending a lot of time on crunches and sit ups, doing them around 20 minutes is more than enough. Spending time on other important exercises like Barbell Squats, Dumbbell Lunges, Barbell Dead lifts, Military Press, Dips, Close-Grip Bench Press, Pull ups, Bench Press, and Pushups are more fruitful. I will talk about these exercises in detail now.
